Adjustment of FrogPlay Championship Leaderboard Points
We have identified some inconsistencies with usage reports and data from the FrogPlay World Championship Leaderboards. These inconsistencies are related to
Security concerns from users logging into multiple devices
Multiple quiz attempts due to users completing several quizzes at the same time
Excessively long quiz attempts by users
To encourage fair usage of FrogPlay in the Championships and to promote best practices that are consistent with good teaching and learning principles, we have adjusted the leaderboard points for all users and implemented further checks within the system.
If you see any changes to your points and rankings, please don’t be discouraged - there is plenty of time to take the lead, and go for gold in the FrogPlay World Championships!
Here's What You Can Do!
(1) Practice Effective Time Management
To encourage students to practice effective time management, there will be a maximum number of points that students can earn in a single quiz attempt. Students can only earn up to a maximum number of points per quiz attempt. To get more points, students must either repeat the quiz, or do a different quiz.
(2) Focus on One Quiz at a Time
To encourage students to focus on one quiz at a time, and eliminate security concerns with one account being used by multiple people, no points will be allocated for multiple quizzes running at the same time using the same account or ID.
We hope that these tips, best practices and adjustments will help you and your school engage in effective teaching and learning. If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to help.
We in FrogAsia are rooting for all of you, and wish you and your school the very best in the FrogPlay World Championships 2018: Up Your Game!
